Flamberge can go Sharp and Crescent but Claymore cant. Dec 7, 2020 · Great Sword Recommended Upgrade. At first glance, with the stat scaling, the Great Sword could be a good weapon for a Magic Warrior Build. However, the Dragon Bone Smasher is a much better option for that path. However, for a Faith-based build, this weapon can be upgraded to a Blessed one that scales with Faith. Synopsis. They also have high stat requirements. The Claymore is nice because it has lower stat requirements, and Faith builds don't want to put too much into unnecessary stats. Greatsword and Great Axe are really best suited for Strength builds in my opinion. Go for feel and looks. Upgrades carry weapons really far and you will have no trouble finishing the game regardless of your choice. Claymore is straight up better but with higher requirements. In Demons Souls there are usually 2 weapons in most types, the crappier one and the better one. (Club/Mace, Falchion/Kilij, Longsword/Knight Sword ... The Flamberge in Demon's Souls is more historically accurate. They were very similar to Zweihanders, which literally means two handed sword. The only difference was the wavy flame like shape of the blade, though it was mostly decorative.
